EPOS workshop @ 10th edition of Cities on Volcanoes (CoV10) IAVCEI conference, in Naples (Italy), 2 September 2018

The IAVCEI conference "Cities on Volcanoes 10 (COV 10)"  starded on Sunday the 2nd in Naples (Italy) with pre-conference workshops.

The EPOS volcanology community (EPOS TCS Volcano Observations) on September the 2nd 2018 has organised a pre-conference workshop and a round table, titled "Role of Research Infrastructures in the Open Science: challenges and perspectives in Earth Science and Volcanology" to discuss and share experiences on the role of research infrastructures in volcanology.

The EPOS IP project Director Lilli Freda has presented EPOS, a distributed Research Infrastructure for solid Earth science.

In the frame of the event, the EPOS TCS Volcano Observations is sponsoring/co-sponsoring the following sessions:

  • September 4 Tuesday:  S01.42 - The role of the GEO-GSNL initiative and of Integrated research infrastructures in improving the knowledge of volcano dynamics and hazard (ex S1 19,37) (This session has the sponsorship of EPOS and GEO-GSNL).
